CIC has been a builder of innovation communities since 1999 and currently hosts more than 1,500 companies in the Boston area. CIC’s mission is ‘to change the world through innovation by developing ecosystems that allow exceptional entrepreneurs to innovate better and faster’.
Located next to MIT, in the heart of Kendall Square, CIC’s Cambridge campus has become its own ecosystem and a focal meeting point for innovation catalysts, including investors, entrepreneurs, talent and mentors alike.
In addition to its extensive Boston and Cambridge locations, CIC operates innovation centers in St. Louis, Missouri; Miami, Florida; Providence, Rhode Island; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well as internationally in Rotterdam, Netherlands; Warsaw, Poland and Tokyo, Japan. Several other locations are in the planning phase.
Participants in MassGlobal’s programs enjoy 24×7 access to all-inclusive co-working spaces within this vibrant entrepreneurial community (http://cic.us), as well as an extensive virtual community.
Given challenges due to COVID-19, CIC established a new entity, CIC Health (https://www.cic-health.com), through which it entered the field of large-scale COVID testing and partnered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to operate several mass vaccination sites.
